 Swadeshi Mandi

    Every year NITIE'zens take to the streets of Mumbai in a unique annual event called Mandi. This time Mandi has launched a new social media campaign SWADESHI MANDI to amplify PM Modi's message of being 'Vocal For Local' and self-reliability as the country emerges from the shadows of Covid-19. 

    Maha Mandi, coordinated by Dr. T Prasad gives the opportunity to the students to get real-time experience of doing business and learning the tricks of the trade. It involves all aspects of doing business like understanding consumer behavior, sales, presentations, relationship building, etc. To understand why such an event is important we need to recognize that selling is difficult. We are taught loads of concepts in class at B-school but unless you understand the consumer and actually make a sale all the concepts in the world will add up to a big zero.

    It is rightly said, “Experience is the Best Teacher”. But NITIE'zens have the best teachers who inspire to get experience.

    On the occasion of 74th Independence day, We NITIE'zens promote to use local products such as KHADI fabric also known as khaddar, which is a handwoven natural fiber made with cotton originated during the time of Mahatma Gandhi when he led the Swadeshi Movement.

Be Indian, Buy Indian.



    With Pride, I say I am NITIE'zen and a part of Mandi event. I would like to conclude this by stating Dr. Mandi’s oft-repeated refrain :

Seekho seekho becho, Bech Bech ke Seekho!!
